Wireless teenager runs first Mills County station in Glenwood
Mrs. Herman Fahrlander and her son Emil visited Glenwood last Friday. Emil, 18, recently from an Omaha electrical repair shop, operates a wireless station at his St Mary township home and can receive Omaha flashes. Glenwood had seen earlier small station efforts by Henry Dean and Fred Stillwagon.

Death of Wesley Litchfield Old Time Stage Driver and Freighter
Wesley Litchfield a longtime Glenwood resident and former stage driver who helped settle Mills County died last Saturday January 1 1910 at his home in Glenwood Funeral services were held at the Christian church Monday Rev Harris officiating He was born October 1836 in Warmblersville township Felton County Illinois and married Emeline Hard November 20 1887 They had ten children though several died in infancy He and his wife came from Illinois to Kansas and finally to this Missouri area where he owned a 40 acre farm and later accumulated substantial land His family includes three sisters and three daughters who survive him The Litchfield family were early settlers arriving in 1860 and he was known for his love of fine horses and for driving between Red Oak and Glenwood and freighting across the plains His estate is estimated between 76000 and 100000 dollars

Three thousand bushels white old corn sold for 593 cents, new white corn 5414 cents per bushel. oats 49 to 51 cents. old sows 27 to 86 dollars each. cattle at high prices. a bob sled bought for over 23 dollars, original cost 16 two years ago.
