Richard Tysor and Charles Parker, inmates at Glenwood Iowa county jail, tunneled through an 18 inch thick north wall using an improvised iron hook. Seven prisoners were in the lower corridor on a cold Saturday when Parker and Tysor slipped out, likely aided by outside help. Sheriff Linville issued posters offering rewards and described the fugitives as Parker a forgery suspect and Tysor accused of murder plot.
