Walton Ridgeway and Miss Elsie Drury were wed last Wednesday at the Astor Hotel Denver in a quiet ceremony led by Rev. J. P. Flarper. The bride, daughter of Samuel Drury, is well known in Glenwood, while the groom runs a Glenwood lumber business with his father. The Denver Post featured a large photo of the couple.
Miss Rosa Mintle leaves Glenwood for Japan as a missionary traveling on the 2:45 train. She will labor on the west coast among fishermen at Chosi, stops at Toppinish, Wash., en route. Sailing March 2 from Seattle on the Minnesota with Miss Gertrude Nelson. both trained at the Tabor Faith Home. Mintle, 28, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. W. Mintle, born near Glenwood, accompanied by prayers and well wishes.
The Glenwood Canning Company plans contracts for this year's corn and tomatoes and will can asparagus in the future. They offer free plants to contract growers and may add pumpkins and pickles as fast as supplies allow. The Tribune urges locals to grow crops for canning, highlighting the plant as the city’s chief industry and its broad welfare impact.

Two young men arrested for burglary at Langdon Missouri were arraigned in Rockport and pleaded guilty. Nelse Nelson of Council Bluffs and Richard Miller of Dayton Ohio received five year sentences. The townsfolk of Bartlett and McPaul reacted with alarm as the youths fled after a depot confrontation. Officers and residents patrolled all night until dawn and the pair later hit Bartlett to flag a through freight to Pacific Junction.
Friday night Genung's Beauties dropped three straight to the Pin Splitters in a tight start to a two half series. Court Mouse beat Genung's Beauties five of the three panies in a recent clash. Omaha-bound picked team posted 2485 to 2615 pins with Barnhill posting 204. Beebe and Bunyan fell to the Pin Splitters 2041 to 2101.
Rev Charles Starke of U Behuveh surprised his wife by driving to Malvern with her and returning to a noon gathering at home. Neighbors joined for dinner and spent the day, arranged by Starke and his daughter Bertha, for a cheerful surprise.
In Mills County District Court a document purporting to be the last will of W. A. Dunagan has been filed. The court fixes February 7, 1908, for proving the instrument at Glenwood Court House, with objections heard there. Clerk F. H. Davis signs February 7, 1908.

Miss Della Moore resigns as Mineola school teacher. Hugo Lehnmann plans a ten day return from Traynor to work in the Number yard. Wm Bichel to move from farm south of Mineola this month to occupy his son J F Bichel's property. Ool F H Nipp noted as a busy man.
William Eaton began putting up ice last week while many residents dealt with illness and travel. A large Emerson audience attended the MWA dance at the opera house, and the Slump sale north of town raised about 2165 dollars. A new real estate office may open in the Mitchner space, and wedding plans brought Honeyman family members to Gem, Kansas.

LA Dearborn buys the Silver City hotel at sheriff’s sale after a mortgage foreclosure. WR Oaks to Battle Creek Michigan for treatment at a sanitarium. New officers named for the Silver City Cemetery Association: C L Lawson president, HH Van Kirk vice president, J G McCue recording secretary, Mary Pullman corresponding secretary, J Jackson treasurer, Henry Hastings and James Burgoin directors.
