Petrified Saurian Found In Coal Supply
Dr Agan found petrified snake fragments while inspecting Maryland coal for his furnace. The pieces fit to form an 18 inch section, suggesting a six inch diameter creature that became encased in stone by geological processes during the carboniferous era.
Second Iowa Press Association Session in Des Moines

Second Church Organized in Council Bluffs
On January 36 in Council Bluffs two services were held at 2:30 and 7:30 PM for records examination and church organization. Delegates from Glenwood Baptist and other district churches attended with Shenandoah Atlantic Red Oak Malvern and Omaha pastors. Recognition was unanimous. Dr. D D Proper chaired. Carman of Shenandoah was clerk. Trustees filed articles of incorporation to acquire property and build a new church in a city area needing such an institution.
