The Medical Association of southwest Iowa met at the Glenwood courthouse for a one day session. Dr. Rawls of Creston opened the meeting with prayer by Rev. Brainard. Dr. Sampson read the secretary’s report, membership applications for Drs. Lintock and Wilhite were approved, and several papers were read. Despite poor attendance due to weather, the day featured cases discussed by Dr. DeWitt and clinics at the Institution with Drs. Powell and Mogridge hosting. Attendees from Drake University, Creston, Hamburg, Clarinda, Weldon, Council Bluffs, and other towns were listed. a private sale of household goods was also noted.
