Victoria and Grey Trust Company reports Millbrook girls rally from 3 0 to score 16 0 over Orono. Maureen Guthrie hit the season’s first home run and a triple with a steal of home. Mary Armstrong and Elaine Bain added multiple hits as Millbrook fans outnumber Orono supporters.

South Monaghan Council Holds June 2 1958 Meeting

The regular meeting of South Monaghan Council on June 2 1958 at 8 00 pm in the Township Hall with Reeve Ray Bothwell presiding adopted minutes from May 9 and May 22 1958. The Reeve reported on Fire Marshall advice about truck suitability and noted potential alternative purchases. Correspondence included county advances with discount, 1958 levy of 8392 66, snow plow contract discussions, a July 25 Farm Products Marketing Board plebiscite, six new hydro contracts, and building by law matters. A donation of 25 to Millbrook Agricultural Society was approved and various accounts totaling 1439 01 were paid. The council considered Warble Fly subsidy forms and mill rate planning before adjourning.
