Cavan Township Council Minutes July 1959
The Cavan Township Council met July 1959 in the Council Chamber at 7:30 p.m. with Reeve L A Hooton presiding and all members present. Minutes from prior meetings were read and adopted. A Mr. Wilbur Lunn spoke about a heifer poisoned by polluted water after dynamite debris at a creek culvert and asked to supply gravel. council approved $50 for a neighbor's claim. Correspondence and accounts were reviewed. a tax discount of 2 percent for payment before December 15 and penalties thereafter were approved, and by-laws for rates and school funding were introduced and advanced to third reading. The meeting adjourned to August 6 at 8 p.m.
