Pontypool Lodge No 296 held its regular meeting on Friday January 5th with Bro W B Burnett of Havelock D D G M presiding. The District Committee from Peterboro and Norwood installed officers for the ensuing term including J P G Bro W S Dodd N G Bro J A Philips M I V G Bro W G Morrow Rec Sec Bro Robt Gillies and others. After installation complimentary speeches praised the lodge’s prosperity of 42 members. The meeting ended with the district committee departing for the 11 pm train and the brethren returning to Coul.
