Milford Boy Wins Meat Course Honor at Utah State College
Horace Palmer of Milford won the farm meats class at Utah State Agricultural College after a visit to the American Packing and Provision plant in Ogden for a meat judging contest. The event, annual and led by Professor Harry H. Smith, awards a silver roving cup from the Ogden firm. Palmer, a junior dairying major, was among twenty students completing an intensive slaughtering and curing course. Nearby, Hartley and Theodore Eyre of Minersville prepared to move into the Harold Heslington residence after adding a room to make it their home.

Five inches of heavy wet snow drenched Milford last Friday with an electric storm. A second smaller storm followed on Tuesday bringing additional moisture. Beaver canyon power plant reported a foot of snow from the first storm, aiding reservoir runoff for Minersville and Milford irrigation regions.
