The Escalante Auxiliary 1546, W.F.W., held its regular meeting at the civic center hall on Tuesday night March 1. New members Mrs. Carlie Waddoups Mrs Edna D Williams and Mrs Beryl Dean were initiated. Officers elected include Ethel Smith past president Florence Barnes president Gertrude Yount senior vice president Margaret Murdock junior vice president Nona Decker treasurer Margaret Grimshaw chaplain Cora Jones conductress Margaret Lily guard Lois Waddingham one year trustee Hazel Baxter two year trustee and Ethel Smith three-year trustee. Refreshments followed and the committee consisted of Mrs Theresa Pitchforth Mrs Docker Mrs Yount Mrs Harry Mills Mrs Grimshaw and Mrs Smith.
The notice lists ration items and dates such as sugar no go five pounds with indefinite Novi canning February 28 1945 and shoes Hook One Noda April 20 Look Three Airpiiin Nou and gasoline Hook No 1 March 21. It compiles ration book references for AS BB 08 48 28 FH and Blue AS B8 08 08 23 May 20 with March 20 entries and noted processed status.

The Utah legislature will meet at noon on Monday March 27 in Salt Lake City to pass voter access legislation for service members outside the state. Governor Maw announced after a conference with Senate President Macfarlane and House Speaker White, who also named a 19 member drafting committee to present bills quickly.
