Mr and Mrs William Baker spent the weekend in Salt Lake and Ogden with Baker receiving medical care in Ogden. Mrs James Rollins visits the home of Mr and Mrs Walter Cook where Mrs Cook has just left hospital with a new baby boy. Utah lake catfish weighing 900 to 1000 pounds were planted at Minersville reservoir last week at the request of the Milford Wildlife Protective association. Dr M J Madsen supervised the fish stocking with F L Osborn assisting with the latter operation. About 3500 fish of fair size were released and more are promised.

Walter James a prominent Utah wool grower mining man and Milford leader died suddenly of a heart attack at his Black Rock home after attending a funeral the day before. Born 1877 in Baltimore he had long served Utah Wool Growers and held Masonic Elks and Odd Fellows memberships. He leaves a widow and three daughters with funeral services in Salt Lake City and burial at Mount Olivet under Masonic rites.

Lieutenant Dan B Gillies, recently stationed at Camp Cooke, has been reassigned to Fort Sill for missile field artillery training and earned wings as a liaison pilot. Gillies and his wife traveled by bus to join the cross‑country move.
A community meeting at the South Milford clab house aims to discuss enlarging the Minoraville Sai Conservation district. Large crowd attends the funeral of John William Kirk at the L D S ward chapel. He was a Milford resident, former marshal, father of D Eugene and J Alva Kirk, and had lived in Milford since age 18. He died Monday at his daughter Mrs Bertram Dallin’s home in Springville. interment was in the local cemetery.
