Milford Pool Project Expands as Fund Drive Continues
Milford Lions Club backs a larger swimming pool project as work begins this week. The 75 by 28 foot pool will feature a rope net for children and a concrete edge trough for slime catchment. A $1,000 fundraising goal is set with donations from local residents and businesses to complete the bathhouses and maintenance facilities.

Warning from the Town Authorities warns that anyone using water through an open hose without a nozzle will be prosecuted. If water use is not curtailed, watering of trees on lawns will move to the summer hour schedule by order of the Board.

Eldon Kelsey, who is the son of Lin Kelsey, was accidentally shot by his brother Gilbert at their Minersville home. A 22 rifle left in a car near the house discharged while the boys played, the bullet entering Eldon's chest and exiting his right arm. He was taken to Milford hospital by Dr. Parrish and is recovering after treatment for the wounds.
