Neil Duke Hollingshead was born June 4 at Milford Hospital weighing 8 lbs 5 oz. Seagull Graduation at Minersville Ward Primary celebrated by eight graduates with certificates and handkerchiefs for perfect attendance. Daughters of Utah Pioneers entertained seniors with a hot dinner. Various residents visited family and friends, with 4-H girls listing names in an ongoing weekly roundup.

F-51 From Las Vegas Crashes at Enterprise

Air Cadet James F. E. Boegle, missing five days after failing to return from a routine training flight, was found dead in the wreckage of an F-51 on Park Mountain west of Enterprise. The crash left a 15 foot deep hole and uprooted cedars within a 100 foot radius as planes and ground crews scoured Milford Minersville Frisco mountain areas before locating the wreck Wednesday afternoon.

A reception honored Mr and Mrs Max Stewart in the Greenville ward amusement hall with a charming bride in white and a large crowd enjoying music and dancing.

First Week of Milford Recreation Program Tops Response

The Milford recreation program reported a very gratifying first week with 30 to 50 children daily, though attendance lagged due to polio and measles fears. Coach Neal credited volunteers and listed next week’s schedule with activities for boys and girls at the schoolhouse.

Milford native completes Air Force communications training

Pte. George R. Jefferson, 18, son of Mr and Mrs George Jefferson of Milford, graduated last week from the Air Force communications school at Scott Air Force Base Illinois as a telephone and telegraph repeaterman. He attended Milford High School and enlisted June 21 1949. He received basic training at Lackland Air Force Base Texas.

Richard Jefferson enjoys a furlough from the Air Force visiting his parents and Milford friends. Mr and Mrs Sam Cline are on a three week vacation to the Northwest States and Alaska, planning a Washington to Alaska boat journey.
