Residents in South Milford report the Rocky Ford reservoir release causes repeated floods on highway 21 near Milford. Ingels was a charter member of Ruth Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Albert Pike Masonic lodge. His daughter Hope Parker Ingola’s wedding to Dell Knight Tower, planned for June 12 at St Marks Cathedral in Salt Lake, was announced amid the tragedy.
M E Community Church announces Sunday services with church school at 10:00 am and worship at 11:00 am featuring a sermon by the pastor on What Do Ye More Than Others. Booworth league at 7:00 pm and evening worship at 8:00 pm with sermon Divine Discontent. Midweek study and recreation at 7:20 pm Wednesday choir practice announced.
Georgy Stonehocker heads Saturday night aboard train 34 for a two month vacation. She plans to visit a sister in Cleveland Ohio and will stop in Kansas and Colorado to visit relatives and friends along the way.
Activities at the Honey Boy mine resumed with a two shift force, moving to intensive development after road rehab. A tunnel is being driven to reach ore 700 feet below the previous level on the dolomite limestone contact, with plans to reach 800 feet and intercept ore after about 150 feet. A collar for the new tunnel must be built through 30 feet of slide rock before power gear comes online.
Harry Cook, a Milford figure known for relief agent work, is slated to become agent for the Union Pacific. He will replace F. K. Castorline, who held freight cashier duties in Milford. The Stockton agent role will shift to Cook once relieved at Stockton.

A. T L. Baker, high school music instructor, will direct 19 free classes in June and July open to all. Sessions run daily except weekends with sections for Clarinets Cor nets Baritones Trombones Violins Saxophones Drums Bass Horns Alto Horns Cello Bassoon Flute. Advanced band work may meet twice weekly after scheduling.

A series of crippled children clinics continues in Utah with a June 8 session. In Fillmore county on June 5 at the American Legion building families may bring crippled children for registration. State director Miss Marcella McInerney and Miss Hedwig Traub will lead the examinations conducted by selected physicians.
Local Conoco dealers forecast a strong summer in Beaver County as the largest wurist season in history boosts merchant profits. D E Stapley notes early summer requests suggest 1987 will exceed last year’s overd business. Continental Oil’s policy ties product sales to independent dealers who own or lease stations and reinvest profits locally. Dealers gain advertising support and are called mileage merchants for promoting both their stations and Conoco products.
Ruth Chapter No 60 E Sy held its final summer meeting in the Masonic hall. Immediate relatives joined in a floral tribute to Eva Evans the charter member now living in Milford and still in service. A history of the chapter was read followed by a social hour with strawberry short cake and coffee before adjournment to September first Tuesday.
Prominent western mining figure Robert Charles Stewart Sr. died in Salt Lake City after a long career as a prospector credited with discovering ore in Wah Wah valley. Born February 7, 1856 in Sunderland England, he moved to Utah at age 12 and also worked as a stonemason. Funeral services were held at Emerson LD. Ward chapel in Salt Lake City.
Lega Lity Division No. 600 of the B. of L. E. held a homecoming on Saturday May 29 with a business meeting and the grand president Mrs Filla D Turner's presiding. An 84 person banquet followed at 7 80 p m in the Union Pacific dining room with pink decorations and corsages. Afterward bridge games at the 1 0 0 F hall awarded prizes. Visitors included Ella D Turner of St Louis and Emin Danziger of Chicago plus nine Salt Lake City alumnae and two from Calente. Attendees traveled from Salt Lake City and Ruth Nevada. no further details given.
Mrs. Wilson Moore and her daughter Margaret departed Tuesday for Milwaukee to serve as delegates for the B of L E and Fr auxiliary. They plan a two week stay then will be joined by Mr. Moore. The trio will visit several eastern states and Canada before returning home.
