Milford Class of 1988 Holds Reunion Dance

Class of 1988 at Milford High School gathers for a reunion at the Milford Hotel Wednesday. Twenty five graduates are listed with current addresses in printed programs. Patrons include Principal E R Moody, Mr and Mrs J M Flughes, and Misa Zola Fernley. The event marks an annual effort with many attendees pursuing higher education. Milford Woman Killed in Cedar City Area Car Crash

In the worst local accident in over a year, 72 year old Mary McKnight Myers of Milford died after a late December collision three miles north of Cedar City. Her husband J W Myers and four sons survived. Also injured were Mrs. John D Spendlove and Mrs. Florence Palmer. Funeral services were held in Milford and Minersville. Most foreign machine tools now used in England come from America.

Tragic Roper Family Mourns Milford Native in Caliente

Mary Roper of Caliente reports the death of her mother a former Milford resident. Mrs. Roper had lived in Caliente since moving there with her daughter Mary and granddaughter in recent years. Interment was planned in Manhattan Kansas where the Roper family roots lie. Mr. Roper died in Milford in September 1980 and was buried in Manhattan. The widow Mary Roper aged 77 had lived with Mary and Nora Bunning in Glendale before passing December 23 after a paralytic stroke. The family, longtime M B church members, were active in the community. Surviving children include two sons and four daughters including Mary in Caliente Nora Bunning of Glendale John Roper of North Carolina.

New Call Is Made For Library Bids In Milford

Milford officials and architects Scott and Welch re advertise for bids on the new library with a January 10, 1989 deadline. Previous five bids on December 19 exceeded funds by 2500 to 4000, prompting plan revisions to lower costs, reduce building size, switch heating to hot air, and keep the basement unfinished to secure PWA support. The project site sits on the hillside at the Third Avenue and Stodlant Street junction.
