All Library Bids Rejected Monday By Town Board

Milford’s new library project failed to attract bids within the WPA funded budget. Five bids exceeded funds, prompting the board to split the process and award excavation to Vernon C Tolhoe of Provo at a nominal yard rate while other bids remained high.

Thermo Woman Mrs Norris Dies After Stroke

Mrs Tom Norris 45 of Thermo Utah died December 18 from a stroke. Funeral services were held Monday at Milford LD chapel. Burial took place in Lon cemetery under the care of Southern Ursh mortuary. New Supervisor Comes to Milford AT&T Relay Station

Mr and Mrs BR O Powk arrived in Milford to assume supervision of the local AT T relay station succeeding B T Walker who moves to Laramie Wyoming with his family. Powk has spent about 18 years with the company in Salt Lake City and will relocate as assistant manager. The Powks purchase the Walkers home and will be welcomed by the community.

Firemen Battle Christmas Tree Fire Threat to Home

Milfort Volunteer Fire Department sped to Bud Handley’s home just before noon Monday and knocked down a Christmas tree blaze that could have spread to curtains and other items. Firefighters extinguished the flames and prevented further damage.
