The Utah Public Utilities Commission ordered a 10 percent cut in Telluride Power rates for Sanpete Millard Sevier Beaver Piute andBron counties. The move saves about 25 000 customers more than 20 000 annually and stems from a March inquiry into the utility’s rate structure.

Two Lions Killed In Beaver Canyon Displayed On Main Street
Two mountain lion specimens were treed and killed in Beaver Canyon and displayed on Main Street by Lester Williams and B R Young. They trapped the animals south of the Telluride plant with Williams’s dogs. One was an old female and the other a larger male. Nearby lions had already taken several deer, with carcasses found piled nearby.

Last Rites Held for L. Cline
Funeral services for L Cline were brief in Los Angeles with family in attendance. A longtime Beaver County merchant and Odd Fellows member, he lived later in California until his death at his Compton home. Survived by his wife and six children, he was famed for charitable acts and quiet generosity.

Hubbell, new county commissioner, with Grant Tolton and F. D. Williams, and Congressman Abe Murdock visited Salt Lake Monday to discuss Beaver county matters. A group of women friends gathered at Mrs Eva Evine’s home Tuesday evening to bid farewell to Mrs Ellingeworth and her children who plan to move to Nevada to join Mr Ellingsworth, who recently acquired business property there. The community regrets the family’s departure given Mrs Ellingsworth’s active role in clubs and religious work.
