All Church Christmas Program Planned for December 21

Plans for an all church Christmas program on Sunday evening December 21 include L D S Methodist and Christian Science churches joining with civic and auxiliary groups. The event at the recreation hall will begin at 7 30 with mainly musical numbers and a short pageant possibly added. The general public is invited.

Engagement announced for Erina Gillies and Mathew Madsen

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cline announce the engagement of their daughter Erina Matie Gillies to Mathew Dell Madsen son of Mr. and Mrs Mathew Madsen of Willard Utah. Gillies teaches at Milford High School and graduated from the University of Utah where she joined Alpha Delta Pi Home Economics and Apri Fine Arts. Madsen also studied at Utah earning a master’s in chemistry and is a chemist at Millencratt Laboratories in St Louis.

Armed Guards Placed At Minersville Dam

Beaver county officials order armed guards at the Minersville Reservoir dam to prevent loitering or stopping at the spillway or any part of the dam. Promotion for Howard C. Wilson to first lieutenant

Howard C. Wilson, son of J. E. Wilson of Milford, has been promoted from second to first lieutenant after training at Fort Sam Houston near San Antonio. A University of Utah graduate, he earned an RO T.C. commission as a second lieutenant and trained at Fort Douglas C.M.T.C. for three summers. He is married to a Texas girl and they reside in San Antonio.
