Cedar Talisman Mine Ramps Up Under Local Partnership

The Cedar Talisman mine, a famed site in the Wild Bill district, resumes operations after a Tuesday start led by Anton Svalina with James Quinn Everett Conger and Dan Lives of Salt Lake City. Frisco Silver Lead Mine Under National Reserve Takeover

The National Reserve has seized stock in Frisco Silver Lead Mining to fund a development push at the San Francisco district property in Beaver county. J P Creitz reports extensive underground work including a 60 foot wide silver zinc vein, multiple fissures, a 110 foot winze, and a 140 foot crosscut with ore in the San Francisco district. The site, 70 patented and 30 unpatented acres, lies near the railroad and will begin operations once financing is secured with L F Black of Salt Lake as president.

Silver Ore Strike Near Baker Yields High Richness

In Silver Creek canyon near Baker Nevada, a shaft 14 feet deep uncovers five ore veins with the last yielding a silver content above 86 percent. The discovery by Clifford Bellander and Otto Neilson draws staking rush from Osceola and Baker as veins run from one half to 12 inches wide.

Edwin Munford 21 Dies in Cedar City Peritonitis

Funeral services for Edwin Thomas Munford 21 of Cedar City were held last Sunday. Survived by his father Robert G Munford two brothers Chester and Robert and sisters Katherine Irene and Margaret. He lived with uncle Thomas Munford after his mother Flora Cox Munford died. Mrs Nora Cross departed for Staten Island to live with her son Albert after stopping in Chicago for the World’s Fair.

Milford Lions Club hosts Aug 20 Swim Carnival

The Milford Lions Club pool hosts a Sunday August 20 swimming carnival starting at 10 AM to finish before the afternoon ball game. Admission is charged to swimmers but free for spectators. awards are printed ribbons in three colors. LaVar Voorhees leads a broad program of events including free style, breaststroke, diving, relays, contests, and exhibitions.
