The Times, founded December 1, 1905 as a Republican paper, failed after several ownership changes and is noted as Virginia’s only Republican daily. Aunt Susan Parker Dead At Home Of Daughter
The death of Aunt Susan Parker occurred Saturday at her daughter's home west of town after a period of illness from senile debility. She was highly esteemed for her gentle disposition and Christian character. The funeral was held Monday afternoon conducted by a Baptist minister. She leaves three sons William and Elias of Middletown and Edward of Pittsburgh.

Death of William Naylor in Cedarville Warren county
William E. Naylor died at his Cedarville home after a long Middletown residence. A Confederate Baltimore Artillery veteran from 1861 to 1865 he is survived by his wife Ann Elizabeth Yates and three sons and two daughters. Funeral held Wednesday morning at his home with interment in Front Royal cemetery.
