Mr Parker accidentally shot Thomas Parker a married Standard Lime and Stone Co employee while hunting with John Strasnider and his son Herbert on a B and O railroad trestle near Capon Road. The double barrel gun discharged injuring Parker's right foot tearing off the great toe and adjacent toe. He was taken to Memorial Hospital Winchester where part of his foot was amputated and he will be unable to walk for some time. Parker had moved from Meadow Mills to Strasburg seven years ago.
