Emmaus Spring Lovers and the Homeward Tune
A faded verse laments homesickness and love in a rural spring setting, pairing two lovers beside a cradle with a fading sunset and red firelight. A local note praises Catherine Culloch and a French astronomer appointment while noting thoughtful memorials and a Quaker tea-plea on dental care and novel cucumber sandwiches.
