Gamblers on Trial in County Court continued from page one
The Goshen Goshen Goshen court hears the continuing trial of a Newburgh area gambler. District Attorney Hirschberg leads the case against the defendant, with Koh defending. Witnesses include Murray Lesser and John Stillwell detailing craps operations at 124 Broadway, including the role of the stick man and ten percent house cut. Evidence centers on the May 1917 raid, rents, and building tenants, with rulings to dismiss, amend, or postpone actions. Two defendants in the raid plead guilty, while other cases are deferred to fall term.
