Delays in local matter spark courtroom clash

Newburgh June 20 Russell Wilkins for the plaintiff and Philip Rorty for the defendant argued before Judge Seeger Mondey over the trial of Onto Wolf vs William Hichok. They disagreed whether to try this week or next, in Part 1 under Judge Seeger or Part 2 under Judge Horace. The case, about money for services with an offset for supplies, was set for Tuesday with Judge Seeger presiding. District Attorney Hirschberg warned efforts to move ahead or dismiss excise cases, noting adjournments hinder convictions. Wiggens, for the saloonkeeper, sought another delay due to a dying witness.
