Anarchists Goldman and Berkman Arrested in New York
Emma Goldman and Alexander Berkman, noted anarchists, were arrested in New York on inciting anti conscription feelings. They waived examination in federal court and were remanded on $75,060 bail each after a three hour period to arrange funds. They were detained in court and later to be returned to the Tombs for trial.

Struck by auto boy in hospital update
Friday afternoon at 4 30 a car driven by C Rogers Smith struck six year old Joseph Cleary son of Mr and Mrs M J Cleary as he ran into the street at Academy avenue and Genung street. The child was taken to Email Hospital with facial and side bruises but no broken bones. Doctors Preston and Hardenbergh reported the youth resting comfortably with injuries not expected to be serious.
