Newburgh Feb 26 Supreme Court Justice A F H Seeger issued an order against himself directing him to show cause why he should not order Mrs Sarah Hawks of Maybrook imprisoned. The situation arose after Seeger’s elevation from County Judge to the Supreme bench and follows prior actions suspending her sentence for illegal liquor sales in a dry town. The Appellate Division ordered revocation of the suspension, and now an order from Seeger as Supreme Court Justice directs Seeger as County Judge and Mrs Hawks to show cause why the Sheriff should enforce commitment.

Slight Blaze at Cottage Street House Fire
At 11 30 this morning firefighters from Eagles Excelsiors and Phoenix were sent to 653 Cottage Street owned by Mrs Mary Maraino. A small blaze was found in a cellar with chemicals quickly extinguished. Clyde F H Santee of Scotchtown passed his bar entrance exams, a Cornell graduate class of 1917.
