About a dozen members of First Regiment NX G S from this city spent their 24 hour furloughs with relatives yesterday and many left today to resume guarding Gotham's water supply. They traveled by O and W train from Wickham Avenue station at 10:10 AM. Reporters noted frostbitten cars and a harsh march from Newburgh to Peekskill in a heavy snowstorm. Soldiers said food and warm clothing are ample and the camp conditions were as printed last week. The company may return to the city within ten days to two weeks depending on the situation.
