Students Told About Junior Achievement Program
Junior Achievement was introduced last week to 1800 area teens at Madison Lemon Monroe Fenwick and Lebanon high schools. Of that number 686 have applied over 30 percent. If 10 percent sign up for Junior Achievement it is considered poor 20 percent is good but 30 percent is unheard of said Harry Pratt president of the board of directors. Next week the students at Middletown Franklin and Trenton high schools will hear talks on the program. Applications will be trimmed to a reasonable number said Pratt. Past participants will be eligible on last year’s advisers recommendations. Adviser orientation is going well with 100 of the 110 advisers attending the first sessions last week. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday. We’ve had phenomenal luck so far this year said Pratt.
