Northeast Investors holds about 71 percent in bonds and preferreds, with mixed assets else where, posting a 3.7 percent six month loss through June 1970. Keystone Custodian B-1 is about 77 percent in corporate bonds, with the rest cash and government securities, logging a 2.6 percent six month gain as of October 1969 and strong 1969 performance.

Wife Of Slain Man Due In Court
A 33 year old woman Kay Meyer charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of her husband Ralph Meyer 45 of Pisgah will face a preliminary hearing at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the County Area Two Court Fairfield. She was taken into custody by Deerfield Beach police after his body was found Sept 12. Meyer was shot three times. She was returned to the Butler County jail by officials including prosecutor Richard Wessel sheriff’s detective Harold May and Hamilton city detective Jacklyn Flannery. Meyer had been living in Florida and is believed to have flown to Ohio the day of the shooting returning the same afternoon.

Cleveland based AP reports Industry Week shows steelmaking costs climbing over the past year. Scrap totals rose 22 percent, coal up 40 percent, and labor costs 6 percent per ton of finished steel. Overall finished steel costs jumped from 10.16 to 14.61 per ton depending on process.

Rockefeller Estate To Be Preserved For Public Use
Gov. Nelson A. Rockefeller announced that his family’s 4,180 acre Pocantico Hills estate in Westchester County will be preserved and dedicated to the public interest. He spoke at Caramoor in Westchester, praising its preservation and noting plans for future generations.
