Israelis Plan Green Belt as Old Jerusalem Transforms

Israeli tree planters, backed by the National Parks Authority, are shaping Jerusalem with thousands of saplings. A 6,000 acre green belt around the old city is planned, while a Jerusalem Peace Forest grows on former hillside lands and a multi story underground garage is proposed to remove aboveground parking.

Three Injured In 2 Car Hamilton Crash

A two car collision on Wayne Trace Road in Hamilton at about 10 20 p m left three people injured. Darla Smallwood Dunivant 16 of 118 Gordon Ave Hamilton was westbound and Tari Beth Dum driver 73 of 54 Ohio Ave Monroe was in the second car. Beathard 22 of 54 Ohio Ave Monroe was in the Beathard vehicle. The deputy said Dum slowed to make a left turn when she pulled in front of the Beathard car. In a separate incident Ray Combs 32 of 7145 Middletown Germantown Road escaped injury when he failed to take a turn onto Rt 744 crossed a ditch and went through a fence into a field.
