Way To Speed Jets Explained
Edward Woll of General Electric described reheating jet exhaust to boost thrust at takeoff and under high speed and altitude. He said burning extra fuel in the exhaust can raise thrust by up to 40 percent and up to 100 percent in ideal conditions.
