Allies Beat Back Viet Attacks Northwest of Saigon
Allied forces repelled two major Vietcong assaults northwest of Saigon with 67 enemy killed at a cost of nine South Vietnamese militiamen. In other battles near Da Nang and the Mekong Delta, Viet Cong and North Vietnamese losses included 91 enemy killed and 81 American and 81 South Vietnamese wounded.
