Middletown Budget Promise Sets Early 1960 Plan
City Manager Charles W Thompson told the Middletown City Commission that the 1960 preliminary budget will be submitted to the county budget commission by Oct 1 with a goal of final approval by Christmas. He noted much work is done and department requests will be scheduled soon while addressing downtown traffic, bridge painting, and Central Plaza outdoor music. The commission also OK’d buying 600 tons of Morton salt for winter, and updated the North Middletown sewer project schedule with contractor Waldner the latest.
