City Commission to discuss bus rate hike and police chief bid

The Middletown City Commission plans to consider a proposed bus fare increase at tomorrow night’s open meeting. Francis Carmody will skip caucus and attend no future sessions, urging that rate changes be debated openly. Also on the agenda is the permanent appointment of Thomas Carmody as police chief after his 90 day probation and his twentieth year with the department. A second reading will address nearly 100000 dollars in AltavistaSubdivision improvements including sidewalks and water mains.
