Operation Better Block II Expands NYC Neighborhood Reform
New York City extends Operation Better Block led by the Mayor's Urban Task Force with Bristol-Myers funding. The 1969 program mobilizes 180 black groups, spends 178000 dollars including 128000 from Bristol-Myers, and awards 36000 in prizes. It distributes tool kits books and sports equipment to support libraries education and health improvements.
