Airliners collide in flight over Europe near Zagreb
A British Airways Trident 3 and an Inex-Adria DC9 carrying West German tourists collided at 35,000 feet about 15 miles northeast of Zagreb killing at least 181. The British plane had 54 passengers and nine crew. the Yugoslav jet 118 aboard. Most aboard the DC9 were vacationing West Germans.
