Ohio proposes city crime coordinators to unite efforts
Columbus AP A new city office and a state unit could curb Ohio crime by coordinating law enforcement and prevention. M C Koblentz chief of the Division of Correction proposes mayors hire a crime coordinator with authority to align agencies. A state unit would collect data, act as a clearinghouse, and aid local officials. Costs would be offset by reduced damages and prison costs. He emphasizes not criticizing current programs but uniting efforts across communities.
