Mayfield Annexation Off as County Rescinds Release
Butler County Commissioners voted unanimously to rescind permission granted last year for Mayfield subdivision to seek annexation by Middletown. No opposition appeared at the hearing held with Lemon Township officials and residents, and the area will revert to Pitler County and Lemon Township control. The decision follows a Wednesday note that annexation would be costly, ending a year-long process with no City Commission attendance.
