Former President Bill Clinton had a successful quadruple bypass at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Doctors said the operation was routine and he is expected to recover fully within two to three months. Clinton awoke sedated after the four hour procedure and remained intubated briefly.

Abe Harris a Bloomfield Elementary alumnus and his sister in law Angela Sullivan with kindergarten teacher Angela Cumberland donated summer hours to repaint a bare courtyard area for pre schoolers and kindergartners. Harris painted a tunnel mural and ticket window while Cumberland Sullivan and Harris added figures and games. The renamed space replaces a former storage area and expands outdoor activities as Edgewood City Schools extend early education programs.
