Youth shoots at crowd and kills self at picnic
In Charlotte North Carolina a 17 year old white student identified as Kenneth Wilson opened fire at a Labor Day picnic at Jonesville AME Zion Church killing 29 year old Roosevelt Davis and wounding three others before killing himself. Authorities recovered a German Mauser and a carbine in his vehicle and found a swastika armband on his left arm. Witnesses described the shooter as daffy about World War II and teachers noted his interest in German planes.
