Virginia Plan to Get Goldwater on Ballot
The Virginia Conservative Council reported a plan to place Barry Goldwater on Virginia’s presidential ballot by qualifying 1000 voters to back a slate of electors. They aim to press for a running mate and leverage at the Republican convention, seeking to influence the 1964 ballot even if Goldwater isn’t the GOP nominee.
