Hurricane Lashes Coast Then Races Inland in Florida

Army Calls 70 Thousand Man Draft In November
Army today asked for a draft of 70 100 men in November raising the total draft calls to date to 170 000 all for the Army. Earlier calls included 50 000 in November and 50 000 in October. The Navy and Air Force do not plan to draft in November. The draft targets men 19 to 25 with older men called first. Aims to reach 3 000 000 under arms by next June.
