Police charge 16 year old in rest stop robbery and trooper shooting

Michael Falkner of Kokomo Indiana faces murder, wanton endangerment and unlawful taking counts after allegedly robbing a highway rest stop for 20 dollars, shooting Kentucky State Police Sgt Herbert Gibson in the throat, stealing a car and ramming two police barricades on I 65 Louisville before crashing. Gibson is listed in serious condition after surgery. Falkner is in satisfactory condition at a Louisville hospital.
