Decatur Illinois witnessed 82 year old pilot Star Nelson land his own airplane yesterday en route to a Flying Farmers meeting in Columbus Ohio. He left the railroad after being deemed too old to run an engine and sought his own plane and airport. Nelson is from Delta Colorado. The report notes electric motor speeds from 120000 rpm to near zero.
