Franklin Police Reject 1977 Pay Offer in Unanimous Vote
The Franklin Patrolmen's Association voted unanimously to reject the latest 1977 pay proposal from City Manager Bernard Eichholz. Ptl Robert Dalton said the wage talks stalled after the council and mayoral discussions, with officers seeking a 5 percent raise and a clothing allowance increase. The department had seen a 5 percent raise for all city employees this year, bringing a patrolman’s salary to 11 668, while budget limits may delay further increases.
