Los Angeles AP reports Clark Kerr of the Carnegie Commission says medical school enrollments must rise 50 percent by 1978 to avoid a health care personnel crisis. The panel recommends boosting entering students from 10,800 to 16,400 by 1978, cutting training to six years, creating 126 area health centers, and adding nine medical schools with federal support.
