Israel Says Egypt Soviet Missiles Rule Suez Zone

Israel's military intelligence chief Gen Aharon Yariv estimated 500 to 600 missile launchers built inside the 30 mile Suez Canal zone in violation of the cease fire. Egypt pushed to bring UN General Assembly action demanding Israeli withdrawal and resumption of indirect talks under Jarring, with African nations drafting a resolution. The Big Four sought to keep Jarring's mission alive and extend the cease fire as Egypt calls for full withdrawal.
