Wreck of DC8 Found Off Barbados After Crash

A government official said the main body of the DC8 jet was found under 1800 feet of water four miles off Barbados. None of the 73 aboard survived the October 6 crash. The wreckage location may affect jurisdiction over extradition of two Venezuelans arrested in Trinidad and accused of placing bombs aboard the plane. Barbados says it has no jurisdiction as the crash was outside its three mile limit. Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela and Guyana discussed extradition and trial. Cuban and Venezuelan exiles opposed to Castro are also involved in the case.

Valdez claims his secret is not exotic ingredients but careful cooking to avoid overcooking the meat. Don Horner of Lancaster wins a chili pepper eating contest by downing 26 red peppers before cooling off with water.

Bodies found in raft after Gabriella disaster near Newfoundland

A raft bearing the corpses of seven Gabriella crew members washed ashore near St Shott's Newfoundland after a North Atlantic storm that sank the Dutch freighter.
