Divided Arab Village of Barta'a Remains Split After 1967
Arabs on opposite sides of the invisible border in Barta'a share grounds and families yet live under different systems and prices. One side hosts Israeli Arabs with higher living standards and wages, the other Jordanian Arabs face Israeli costs and restraint. The split arose from a 1948 Rhodes armistice error despite reunification in June 1967 but persists as an unseen partition.
