Trenton Adopts Districts for Tax Financing Plan
The Trenton City Council adopted a resolution to establish tax increment financing districts for Edgewood and Madison schools. Six subdivisions were named as districts with 70 percent of about 15 million dollars placed in a special fund for Ohio 63 improvements and 30 percent for the schools over 30 years. The council also moved to seek a 20 thousand dollar state grant for police laptops and awarded a 124 thousand 543.95 dollar bid for road repairs. A third public forum on finances is set for Oct. 28, and Beggar's Night is scheduled for Oct. 30 with candy screening by police.
